Henry Turns One!
our angel baby is not a baby anymore!
Our little Henry man turned one on November 7th but we had his party this past Sunday. I had the hardest time trying to think of an idea that fit mr. henry man well and still seemed somewhat babyish before I’m making bulldozer and tractor cakes. lol. FINALLY! I found the cutest watercolor painting of a teddy bear holding a balloon and instantly knew a little teddy bear themed party was the perfect fit. Henry already growls wherever he plods and knows what the bear says, so it seemed it was just for him. 😉
My parents and brother’s family came, we had loaded baked potato bar for lunch and then straightway got to the celebration and snacks. Clayton’s parents and my sister face-timed us to watch henry dive into his little bundt cake.
HE LOVED IT. I’ve even got a blurry photo to prove it. haha
We had chocolate milk in little honey bear jars for the children and coffee drinks for the grownups, snack attack mix, pineapple gummy bears, s’more’s drip cake and chocolate pb little bear cupcakes.
The S’more’s cake was chocolate cake baked with a thin layer of graham cracker crust with chocolate ganache and toasted marshmallow meringue in between the layers, and then finally a peanut butter cream to polish this decadent cake. If you are looking for a recipe similar to mine, this one will definitely satisfy you.. Cake by Courtney’s Smore Cake. Her cakes are amazing.
With COVID and our restrictions, we were unable to have a big bash so we had some friends stop by and they got to take their snacks and dessert on the go in bear-y cute sacks. I cut ears out of the bags, grabbed a permanent marker and some tan paper and it was finished in minutes. 🙂

I’m trying not to get teary eyed just finishing up this post and a few videos I compiled. November 7 2019 – November 7 2020 went by WAY TOO FAST.
Henry has been a true joy in our lives and I will never forget when we first met him. He was born at 10:24 PM. and all I could say was ” I love you buddy.. I love you buddy” over and over again, and having a little Henry I always dreamed as a little girl was the icing on top.
He is the sweetest angel baby.. just as bald as ever, has only 7 teeth at the moment, walks all over the place, and growls when you ask him what any animal says. He loves to wave at strangers, splash in the toilet if the lid is accidentally left up, and makes us laugh all the time. He already tickles Charlotte and absolutely gets on her nerves. I cannot wait to see what He will become. Lord, have your way!
