back to school drink of the morning — brown suga

back to school drink of the morning —
brown sugar shaken 👏🏼👏🏼

RECIPE :
•two shots of hot espresso
•1 Tbsp. brown sugar
•dash of cinnamon
•ice
•ball jar + lid
[shake unlil foamy]

pour over more ice in your favorite glass and add
milk of choice (oat milk with a splash of cream is 👌🏼)

enjoooooy!! 🎶

birthday cake cookies 🎉😍
— it’s always time to celebrate with sprinkles according to my kiddos 😉

enjoy these to the fullest!!!

RECIPE:
1 cup of softened butter
1 cup of sugar
1/2 cup of powdered sugar
4 eggs
splash of vanilla
1/2-1 tsp. cake batter flavoring (LorAnn is my favorite)
3 1/2 cups AP flour
1/3 cup or 1 pkg. vanilla pudding dry mix
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt

DIRECTIONS
I. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
2. Beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, cake batter flavoring, and vanilla. Stir to combine.
3. Add all dry ingredients and combine together gently making sure to not over mix.
4. Prepare 2 baking sheets with parchment or baking spray. With a size 24 cookie scoop, place 9 cookies on each tray. Gently press down the tops before baking.
5. Bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes depending on how your oven bakes. They should be slightly underbaked and lightly brown on the bottom so they are still chewy when cool.

Frosting:
-4 oz. cream cheese, very soft
-2 Tbsp. butter, softened
-3 - 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
-splash of cake batter flavoring (not much)
-1/2 Tbsp. heavy cream
-pinch of salt

beat together and frost completely cooled cookie

SNICKERDOODLES!!! thick, tangy, chewy, and who doesn’t love cinnamon and sugar?? I have been using this recipe for yearrrs and it’s a favorite.

best tips: don’t over bake, if anything underbake them slightly and be generous with the cinnamon and sugar 😍

recipe:
2 cups of shortening
3 cups of granulated sugar
4 eggs
1 Tbsp. of vanilla
5 1/2 cups of all purpose flour
4 tsp. of cream of tartar
2 tsp. of baking soda
1 tsp. of salt

1/4 cup sugar + 2 Tbsp. cinnamon for rolling cookie dough in. (loots of cinnamon makes this cookie the best!)

Beat shortening, sugar, and eggs together.
Add vanilla and dry ingredients together until combined. Scoop into cookie balls and generously roll in cinnamon and sugar.
Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes

for MEGA COOKIES: join 2-3 cookie dough balls together, roll in cinnamon sugar, and freeze for 10 minutes before baking. Place on baking sheet and gently press down with palm. Bake at 350 for 10-11 minutes and reshape after if needed.

enjoy on a buttery croissant, slice of bread, mixed greens, or out of the bowl 😉

Make it yourself! 👇🏼
•3 cups of shredded cooked chicken (Costco rotisserie OF COURSE)
•3/4 cup of mayo
•1/3 cup of apricot or peach jam
•a splash or two of apple cider vinegar
•pinch of salt + fresh cracked pepper
•finely shredded or diced purple cabbage
•fresh chopped cilantro to your liking
•diced bell pepper or a colorful veg
•minced pickled or candied jalapeños, optional
•chopped pecans or almonds, optional

Mix all together in a bowl and refrigerate.
Flavors are best as it sits for a day.
NOTE: the key to this is cilantro+the jam.. just trust me.
